DIAGNOSTIC-THERAUPETIC-ASSISTENTIAL PATH
Adult patients with suspected Chiari Malformation and/or Syringomyelia can access the CRESSC and the relative diagnostic-theraupetic-assistential path (DTAP, click here to download) through a first neurological evaluation in the outpatients' department of CRESSC.

INTERNATIONAL RARE DISEASE DAY
The International Rare Disease Day, promoted by EURORDIS, is one of the most important events for people affected by rare diseases, their relatives, and for caregiveres and health workers.
The Day theme on the 28th of February 2015, eighth edition of the event, was a tribute to patients and caregivers, with the slogan “Living with a Rare Disease. Day by day, hand in hand”.
The CRESSC, during the Internationa Rare Diseases Day 2015, has organized a meeting with younger patients to participate to the initiative proposed by EURORDIS, which invited to diffuse the solidarity event through a picture.

FIRST NATIONAL CONVENTION: ASSISTENTIAL NEEDS AND SUSTAINIBILITY IN RARE DISEASES
On the 10th of May 2014 at the Villa Raby in Turin the First National Convention: Assistential Needs and Sustainability in Rare Diseases has been carried out.
The event, promoted by the Rare Diseases Commission of the Doctors’ Order of Turin (coordinated by Dr. Palma Ciaramitaro), has included more than 150 doctors, pediatricians, pharmacists, specialists with the purpose of promoting culture and knowledge of Rare Diseases

SECOND NATIONAL THEORICAL-PRACTICAL UPDATE COURSE: “SYRINGOMYELIA: FOCUS ON DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY"
After the positive experience of 2012 with the First Course, on the 28th of November 2013, the Second National Theorical-Practical Update Course about Syringomyelia and Chiari Malformation has been carried out.
Part of Course has been dedicated to video-sessions and the interactive participation in work groups.

RARE DISEASE DAY 2012: CTO MEETS CITIZENS
On the 27th of February 2012 at the CTO of Torino, during the International Rare Diseases Day, the Meeting among CTO and Citizens: Focus on Interstitial Cystitis/BPS, Siringomielia and Chiari Malformation, Neurofibromatosis has been carried out.

FIRST NATIONAL THEORICAL-PRACTICAL UPDATE COURSE: “SIRINGOMIELIA E SINDROME DI CHIARI: UP-TO-DATE ON DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY"
On the 18th of January 2012 at the CTO of Turin the First National Theorical-Practical Update Course about Syringomyelia and Chiari Malformation has been carried out.
Primary purpose has been the presentation of diagnostic-therapeutic Recommendations realized by the “Syringomyelia-syringobulbia and Chiari Malformation” Interregional Consortium, Rare Diseases Interregional Network of Piemonte and Valle D’Aosta, and in collaboration with the patients’ Association.
The Dissemination of Recommendations (integration of Syringomyelia and Chiari Malformation Assistential Path - D.G.R. 95-13748, 29/03/2010), proposes to favour a standard approach to diagnosis and therapies of such pathologies, for which there aren’t codified Guidelines for the time being.
